There are various techniques to produce images in colour but unique graphic processes along with industrial equipment are utilised for large production of colour images. Colour printing consists of reproduction methods appropriate for printing presses that have the ability to produce thousands of impressions to publish magazines, newspaper, cards, brochures, posters as well as other such things. In such kind of commercial or industrial printing, the four-colour process method is employed for printing colour images like colour photographs. The four inks used in it are three colours (magenta, cyan and yellow) plus black. The inks are translucent or semi-transparent. However, water-colourists and printers might consider magenta, yellow and cyan as primary. The graphic methods used in this process include colour separation, half-toning and lithography.
