The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. [Psalm 29:11] This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! [2 Corinthians 5:17] But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you [Luke 6:27-28] Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry [James 1:19] I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. [1 Timothy 2:1] So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. [Deuteronomy 31:6] Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. [Matthew 5:4] Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. [Luke 6:38] God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
